Every voyage, every country, mapped automatically

Tresco Fleet Cruise is an extension of the Tresco Fleet platform, built for river cruising.

It automates per-country kilometre tracking for your river cruises, based on the route actually sailed. This forms the basis for the per-country tax – a levy calculated on the kilometres travelled and often passed on per passenger.

Reports are generated automatically, after every voyage and as often as you need.

Kilometre tracking, from itinerary to report

You enter your itineraries into Fleet Cruise once. During the voyage, the system automatically links the route actually sailed to the correct itinerary, and calculates the kilometres travelled per country. Each itinerary is therefore the basis on which your reports are built automatically. You enter it once, and the rest happens on its own.

Kilometre tracking on the route actually sailed – No estimates based on a planned schedule, but the kilometres your vessels have genuinely covered, measured on board and broken down per country.

Itineraries as the foundation – You enter your itineraries directly into Fleet Cruise. The system links each one to the route actually sailed, and uses it as the basis for the per-country kilometre calculation.

Automatic reports – As soon as a voyage is completed, the report is generated from the itinerary and emailed to the right recipients. At the frequency you choose, and bundled separately per tour operator client.

Geofencing – Precise kilometre tracking with automatic alerts at piers and key locations.

CO₂ reporting – The Tresco Fleet emission report, tailored to cruise operations.

Sits alongside your existing system – Fleet Cruise complements your current cruise management system with sailing data from the water, and adds what an office system cannot measure.

Four steps, then it runs itself

  1. Setup – We configure your cruise clients, their vessels (with ENI number) and the report recipients once.
  2. Itineraries – You enter the itineraries for the whole season once. Fleet Cruise uses them to link each route sailed to the right voyage and calculate the kilometres per country.
  3. Monitoring – Voyages are tracked in real time as they take place.
  4. Report – When each voyage is completed, a report follows automatically by email.

Once set up, the system runs in the background. The captain sails; the report generates itself.

Even when the connection drops

Position data is buffered on board by Tresco Navigis.

If the internet connection drops temporarily, the data is still sent as soon as the connection is restored – nothing is lost.

That way your kilometre tracking stays complete, even on stretches with weak coverage.

One platform, from office to wheelhouse

Tresco Fleet Cruise does not stand on its own. It builds on Tresco Fleet and connects to the navigation and steering technology on board.

The same voyage data that feeds your reports can also optimise your sailing: through SmartTracks and Tresco TrackPilot, our steering assistance that keeps your vessel on the perfect course, and so delivers a calmer vessel, lower fuel consumption and more comfort in the wheelhouse.

What's coming

We are expanding the online itinerary management in Fleet Cruise step by step into a full itinerary module based on the Tresco Voyage Planner.

That will make the path from office to wheelhouse even shorter: the office plans the voyage, the captain sails it, and the data flows back into the platform – with no steps in between.

FAQ

How does Tresco Fleet Cruise calculate the kilometres per country?
Based on the route actually sailed. The vessels send their position data to the platform via Tresco Navigis. Fleet Cruise links this to the itinerary and calculates, per voyage, how many kilometres were sailed in each country. It uses the kilometres genuinely covered, not a planned schedule.

Why do I need to enter my itineraries?
The itinerary tells Fleet Cruise which sailed route belongs to which voyage. You enter it once; after that the system automatically links the right route to the right voyage and calculates the kilometres per country. Without that step, the link could not be made automatically.

Can I use the reports for the per-country tax?
Yes. The report shows, per voyage, the total kilometres and the breakdown per country, with percentages. Those figures form the basis for the per-country tax, which is often passed on per passenger.

Does it work even if a vessel temporarily has no internet connection?
Yes. The position data is buffered on board by Tresco Navigis and sent once the connection is restored. No data is lost.

Does Tresco Fleet Cruise work alongside my existing cruise management system?
Yes. Fleet Cruise sits alongside your existing system and complements it with sailing data from the water – the kilometres actually sailed per country, which an office system does not measure itself.

Who is Tresco Fleet Cruise for?
For river cruise operators who charter vessels to tour operators and have to report per country each month. Fleet Cruise is an extension of the Tresco Fleet platform.
